Who Are The Owners?

Rob and Olivia Maple, Owners/Directors combined their extensive educational and business expertise to establish Discovery Learning Institute in 2002.

Rob has an MBA and over 25 years experience as a senior executive in the field of training and development.  He is also Founder and President of Maple & Associates, an executive development consulting firm.  Rob is a Trustee for the Fremont Education Foundation, a Deacon at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and is the former Chairman of the Board of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). 

Olivia has an MS in Curriculum and Instruction and has worked for many years as a teacher and corporate trainer.   She has also worked with local school districts by serving on Curriculum Review Committees, co-facilitating community engagement and long-range planning processes and developing a Bridges Reading Program.

Rob and Olivia are members of Partners for Educational Excellence in District 70, Libertyville and the Education Industry Association. They live in Mundelein and love spending time attending the many events of their three very active children.
